Who writes and reviews this site

eBikeMetric is researched, written and reviewed by one person. There is no newsroom behind it, and we say so plainly because the rest of this page is about trusting what you read here. Every page that carries an editorial judgement shows who reviewed it and the date of that review. If a page has no review date, it carries no byline.

Where the data comes from

Figures on this site are not typed in by hand. Each one is resolved from a recorded observation that points back to a captured source page, with the date it was captured. When sources disagree, we keep both rather than overwrite one. When no source exists, the figure reads Not published — we never fill a gap with an average, a similar model, or an estimate presented as a measurement.

Most specifications available today are manufacturer claims, labelled as such and given low confidence (v1). We have no first-party testing programme, so nothing on this site is described as tested by us. Read the full methodology.

What affiliate links change, and what they do not

Some outbound links earn us a commission. That relationship never enters a ranking, a score, or an editorial conclusion: our lists are reproducible without any commission data at all. Commission can decide which merchant a buy button points to when two merchants are equivalent — nothing further. Full affiliate disclosure.

Corrections

If a figure here is wrong, it is wrong in our data, not only on the page — so a correction fixes it everywhere it appears. Send the page and the source you believe is correct via contact. Corrections to a published figure update the review date on that page.
